Hesitancy about hitting waters unknown no longer need be a reason
for central Ohio anglers to avoid the steelhead runs soon to peak along
the Lake Erie shore. A series of detailed stream maps put together by
fisherman/entrepreneur Ron Guttu dispels much of the mystery about where
to fish on the steelhead-stocked streams of northern Ohio. The hefty,
lake-run rainbow trout grow especially numerous from February into
April, and they're usually willing to play rough with savvy casters and
drifters who know where to find their haunts.
